To My Friends at Spanish Cove

The flowers at Spanish Cove
Remind me of the beautiful smiles
On the faces of the residents
When I visited with you for awhile

I never dreamed you would be
As friendly and as nice
As you were when I met you
I luckily saw some of you twice

I’ll always treasure our little chats
And appreciate so very much
That you took time out of your life
For a delightful and personal touch

You made me feel like a celebrity
Now that really was kinda strange
I just sit at home on my computer
Writing poems for John’s web page

But now I will always think of you
When I write a brand new poem
Hoping you’ll enjoy my words
As you sit in your gracious home

Yes, it’s a wonderful place to live
It’s everything I’d be wanting
It is truly like living in heaven
Amazing and rather daunting

I’m sure I’ll get to see you again
On pages created from John’s mind
I consider you all my friends
The best friends anyone could find!

People are just like pretty flowers
With friendly smiles on each face

They leave their footprints in your heart
After you have spent time in their space.

Wise Words by a man named Don

1. Most of us have heard the phrase, your best days are still to come.

2. To speak or hear it can be a powerful blessing.

3. One that says your future is promising and your outlook bright.

4. To grab it and believe in it is even better.

5. It gives you a license to be great today and even better tomorrow.

Gloriosa Daisy

I want to share a truly lovely flower
That always makes me smile
So bright, so different every year
In a vase they last quite a while.

They add so much color to my beds
With their sunshine yellow and brown
I know you too would love to
Plant Gloriosa Daisy’s in your ground.
